I am deeply passionate about working from home. I have been a remote worker for years.
I believe that many people are hesitant to look at 1099 positions because of the tax situation and the lack of benefits. However far too often I see people on WFH groups that complain they cannot attend to family or medical needs. They either get fired or voluntarily quit.
1099 positions are semi-unique. You are scheduling around your lifestyle. It is ultimately a trade-off. You find your own benefits elsewhere and pay your own taxes. You get the opportunity to work as much or as little as you want to within the hours of operation that your company has available to you.
Many people are also new to WFH. They lack the background needed for the higher paying positions. 1099 CSR companies will hire people with little to no experience. This is the ultimate resume builder!
